Version 14.10 New Features
  • The visibility and color of the map have been improved to suit the theme.

  • Added a function to hide the button normally so that you can see the map screen well.
    ▷ Automatically hides the button after a certain period of time after navigation operation.
    ▷ The button is displayed again by touching the map screen or rotating or rotating the dial of the control system.

  • The main screen and the split screen are prevented from providing the same information so that the screen can be used efficiently.
    ▷ When the main screen is changed, if the information displayed on the split screen overlaps, the previous main screen is displayed on the split screen.
    ▷ If the previous main screen is not provided in the split screen, the map screen is displayed.
    (When changing from the screen to the map screen)
    (The previous main screen is automatically changed to a split screen)

  • In order to protect personal information when others use the vehicle for a while, we have expanded the valet mode where you can set a password on the screen.
    ▷ You can check the status information in the smartphone app, and you can cancel the valet mode.

  • The navigation guide voice and sound effect volume have been separated so that you can set each volume.
    ▷ Set by pressing the volume setting button on the map screen.
    ▷ It is also possible to set in [Settings]-[Sound]-[System Volume]-[Volume by Function] or [Guide Volume]

  • Added the ability to select radio from the menu screen displayed by pressing the media button.

  • When streaming media over Bluetooth, find and display album art on your smartphone.
    ▷ It is supported only on iPhone (iOS 13 or later), and in the case of Android phones, the function is available through the software update of the smartphone when the function is supported by the smartphone manufacturer in the future.

  • Added function to support SXM broadcasting station name by voice recognition.
    ▷ In order to provide convenience to users for broadcasting station functions that were previously selectable only by channel number such as “SiriusXM <118>”, when uttering the name of SiriusXM broadcasting station such as “Tune to <The Coffee House>, Receive satellite broadcasting.
    ▷ Target vehicle types: standard Gen5 navigation, standard Gen 5W generation navigation, Premium Gen5 navigation.

  • We have expanded the area of application to prevent inflow of outside air.
    ▷ It has been expanded to operate in tunnels on all roads, and areas where odors can enter the room have also been added.
    ▷ It operates when “External air inflow prevention control” is set in [Settings]-[Vehicle]-[Air conditioning]-[External air blocking]

  • Provides additional 2.5D style compass in split screen.
    ▷ Standard Gen5W: It can be changed by tapping the compass symbol at the top left of the split screen.
    ▷ Premium Gen5: It can be changed by flipping the split screen left or right or turning the control dial.

  • New color scheme to the system settings
    (Hyundai color scheme shown above. KIA color scheme is Magenta. Genesis color scheme is brown)

  • Types of Head Units Available to Update

Why there is no download option for certain vehicle?

The decision for download/free update availability is coming from Hyundai, Genesis, and KIA Corporation, not MnSOFT. As you may notice the current map & software update is the global offering thru the manufacturer website (instead from MnSOFT website). Please call the manufacturer customer care for any concerns you may have about the map & software update availability options.


At the moment, free download map & software updates are available only for the GEN 4, GEN 5, GEN 5 Wide, P. GEN 2, and P. GEN 5 head units. Shipping option is also available for those head units. If you happen to own a vehicle with GEN 1, GEN 2, and P. GEN 1, map & software update is only available thru a shipping method. Please go to www.mapnsoft.com to purchase your latest map & software update. 


Another possible reason you cannot find the map & software update either at the download or shipping option is there is no map & software update for your new car yet, example: 2021 year model.

You will then use the Navigation Updater software to download the map & software update. 

Please have a 64GB* USB drive ready for the map & software update download.

How much is the map & software update cost?

Map & software update is Free when you choose to download it. You must have Hi-speed Internet connection and will be required to provide your own SD card or USB thumb drive to store the downloaded files. Wireless or mobile Internet type of connection is not recommended. You also have option to purchase the map & software update and ship it to you; the cost is $25 USD* (or $30 CAD)* for the product plus shipping & handling fee.

Can I use a different year or model map & software update?

Although some map & software updates may share the same files & configurations, we highly recommend for you to only download or order map & software update for a specific vehicle year and model.

Advantage on purchasing the map & software update over downloading it

The convenient of having your map & software update arrive in an SD card or a USB drive and ready to install. Otherwise, you may have to reuse or to purchase the correct type and size of SD card (32 GB) or USB drive (64 GB) for the download. Please also make sure you meet the minimum system and download requirements. The map & software update content is exactly the same between a purchase and a download.

Can I purchase the map & software update and have it ship?

Yes, you can purchase the map & software update for your vehicle at https://www.mapnsoft.com 

Map update is $25 USD or $30 CND + shipping fee


We use Paypal for the online payment gateway, but Paypal account is not required.

Do I have to update my navigation every year?

Map update is not required to use the navigation system, but it is recommended in order to get access to the latest roads and points of interest, which can change up to 15% every year.

Can I install the Canada update on the USA head unit?

Although the map & software update contains map data for both countries, the head unit software version is not interchangeable. You must purchase the correct country for the head unit software version.

When are map & software updates released?

There are two map & software releases per year - Spring (around March) and Fall (around October). 

For older models (typically 2013 and older), there is only Spring map & software release per year.


The current map update was released on 11/23/2020. Please follow this link for more info.

How to tell which GEN head unit I have?

You can tell by the SW ver in the System Info of the head unit. For examples:

  • If the SW ver: ST.JF.USA.E533.190218 - The "E" between the USA and 533 is for GEN 4
  • If the SW ver: TLFL.USA.SOP.V115.200324.STD_H - The "V" between the USA and 115 is GEN 5
  • If the SW ver: LX2.CAN.S5W_M.V004.001.200826 - The "S5W" is for GEN 5 Wide

How to access older version map & software update?

Thank you for your interest for the older version, but we do not sell older version to prevent accidental downgrade. Downgrading from the newer version to older one may permanently damage the head unit. If you have an issue with the current update, we suggest to discuss it with us either thru the chat portal or call us at 888.757.0010

SD card or USB drive

Depending on your head unit, you will need either SD card or USB drive to install the map update.  

You will receive either SD card or USB drive when you order the map update from www.mapnsoft.com


If you are planning to download the map update, please follow the media type requested by the Navigation Updater software.

SD card: max size 32 GB (do not use micro SD card)
USB drive: max size 64 GB


Please remove all files from your existing media before copying/downloading* files for the map update.


* Navigation Updater will format your media prior the download process.


An exception for 2015 Hyundai Genesis JogDial, this vehicle head unit require both SD card and USB drive to start the update process. Please follow this link for detail instruction.

We recommend to use SW ver from the head unit to find the correct map & software update for the specific vehicle.


Return & Refund
What is the Return Policy?

You may return the product within 30 Days after product is delivered and not installed yet. Please mail the package with tracking#. Product that has been installed cannot be returned unless defective. Defective product or product damaged by shipping company during transit for delivery can only be exchanged for same item. Shipping & handling fee is not refundable. We will provide return label when we shipped or recommended the wrong product. Please call us at 888-757-0010 for any questions or to start the process.

Can I exchange the map update if I ordered the wrong one?

If you ordered the wrong product and would like to exchange it, please call us immediately at 888-757-0010 to start the process. You will be required to purchase the correct product first and we will ship the return label with your new order. We will process the refund less the shipping & handling fee after we received the wrong product.

Can I return the product if I am not satisfied?

We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the product, but we only accept return for refund if the product has not been installed. If you haven't contact us yet, please call 888-757-0010 and let us know what the issue is.

Can I return the product if it doesn’t contain certain address, point of interest, or road?

Return for refund is permissible if the product has not been installed.  It is our goal to deliver the latest roads and points of interest available, but due to the natural passage of time from when these millions of these data points are collected, compiled, tested, and released, some information may not be available.  Please contact us to check on any specific addresses, point of interests, or roads prior to purchasing the product. You can also submit missing data by using the REPORT MAP ERRORS link: https://www.mapnsoft.com/hyundai/map-error-reporter   

When can I get my refund?

Please call us at 888-757-0010 to start the return process. When we received the product, we will refund only the cost of the product.  Shipping & handling fee is not refundable.  Original packaging is required for a refund to be processed.

My shipping got delayed, what can I do?

We are sorry that your shipment got delayed. Since we are not affiliated with the shipping company, we are not responsible for any delivery delay that is happening at the delivery company. Please contact them with the shipping tracking number to find out what they can do for you.

When will the order ship?

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 2 business days. When orders are placed before 10am PST we do our best to process them same day. 


Please note: FedEx 2 day shipping does not deliver on the weekend or holiday.

How can I track my order?

Please login to your MnSOFT Free Account and then go to MY ORDERS to find your tracking number. Please call us at 888-757-0010 if you experience a long delay or suspect a lost package.

Shipping to Canada only FedEx

Currently we are only offering FedEx Ground and International for shipping to Canada. We used to offer USPS, but we have to remove it from the shipping option because they lost many packages to Canada and they have no customer service to resolve the issue. 


We are not just shipping 1 SD card or 1 USB drive to the customer, the 12 x 8 bubble envelope include the SD card/USB drive inside a protective case, instruction booklet, and tracking service. 

Shipment tracking show delivered, but I don't receive the package.

We understand your frustration with the lost or stolen package caseSince we are not affiliated with the shipping company, we won't be able to help you with this case. We suggest that you contact the shipping company and open an investigation with them. The sooner you do that, the better chance they can find your package especially if they delivered it to the wrong address. If you package was stolen, we suggest you report it to the local authority, then place a new order, and have it ship to a different address that is more secure.

The package is lost per shipment tracking

Sometimes shipping company made a mistake and we would like to help you with this case. Please contact us during normal business hours via chat portal or at 888.757.0010 with your order and tracking number ready. If your package is lost during the delivery process, we will be glad to replace the order for you.

When will I get my order?

It depends on when you place the order and the type of shipping you choose. Order is only being process during normal business day. Our shipping cut off time for any order to be shipped on the same day is 10 am PST. If you place an order after 10 am PST, your order will not ship until the next business day. We will inform you when we have shipping issue/delay such as backorder.


MnSOFT offer FedEx and USPS as our delivery carriers and we pay for their delivery service. MnSOFT do not have any association or contract with either carrier. 


FedEx


We offer FedEx 2 days and ground shipping option. Both FedEx options only deliver on normal business day.  


If you choose FedEx 2 days shipping, please keep in mind this service does not include Saturday, Sunday, or holiday delivery.

For example: order placed on Friday (normal business day) 8 am PST, we process the order on the same day, and FedEx will deliver the order on Tuesday (normal business day).


If you choose FedEx ground, your order may arrive between 1 to 5 business days later depending on how close your address from our location in Irvine, CA. For example: order ship to Anaheim, CA will arrive 1 - 2 business days later and order ship to Orlando, FL will arrive 3 - 4 business days later. Order ship to Canada and due to custom inspection, this may take between 7 - 14 business days.  


USPS


USPS First Class mail is the most economical shipping method that we offer for USA customer only. In certain area, USPS may deliver mail on Saturday. Please check with your local USPS post office about their delivery schedule. USPS only deliver on normal business day and Saturday non-holiday.


If you choose USPS, you order may arrive between 1 to 7 days later depending on how close your address from our location in Irvine, CA. For example: order ship to Anaheim, CA will arrive 2 - 3 days later (except Sunday or holiday) and order ship to Orlando, FL will arrive 4 - 5 days later (except Sunday or holiday). 


Please keep in mind that delay is possible due to weather condition, natural disaster, or COVID-19 safety mandate.


For tracking purpose, both FedEx and USPS will ship with tracking number. Please check your order acknowledgement email or login to your MnSOFT free account for the tracking number.
