Downloaded the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid update to a brand new 3.0 USB /128GB memory stick. Followed the instructions and hit Update and got message "insert device that contains the update file(s) and try again." I reformatted the drive and downloaded the file, again. Same Story. Any suggestions how to continue?

My understanding so far is we are supposed to wait until mid May for the update coming. Meanwhile certain models/years will no longer allow us, the users, to download the update to a usb and install ourselves, instead we will have to order it. I find this ridiculous and will be using google maps, I refuse to pay for something that should be free!

Hello Anca! We recommend that you use a 3.0 64 GB USB drive to install the update for your vehicle. If you need further assistance please feel free to reach out to us via the "Contact Us" option available at https://www.mapnsoft.com/hyundai/faq-contact-us/ and we would be more than happy to help.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on our forum. Hyundai AutoEver does not decide what vehicle are eligible for the download and which vehicles only have online ordering available, those decisions are made by the manufacturer themselves and then we only assist with distributing and troubleshooting the updates after attaching our mapping data to the manufacturers software update. If you would like to inquire further about the availability of download options for your vehicle, you will need to contact customer care for further assistance. Otherwise, please reach out to us about any questions or concerns regarding the navigation system. Thank you again and have a great day!

That is correct, space allocation in larger drives can cause issues with the head unit being unable to read the navigation updates from the USB, which is why we recommend using the 64GB USB's as per the instruction guide. If you submitted a ticket about issues with the navigation update then your issue should be resolved shortly!

I Have been performing updates on Kia AVN unit and found out it is best to use 2.0 USB 64 GB thumd drive, (brand I use is SanDisk model SDCZ60-064G-AW46). I also found out that the USB connector for the AVN head unit is 2.0 USB, so a 3.0 USB thumd drive or cable may not work vary well
