It's utterly meaningless (it conveys no information the user can understand) and takes the focus away from Carplay (and probably AA). In addition, it keeps you from being able to use the touchscreen -- must use a hard button to get back to Carplay. It obviously triggers when emerging from a low signal area (coming out of a parking garage).

My argument is the pop up shouldn't exist. What is its purpose?

Hello, thank you for making your opinion known. Unfortunately, we did not have a voice in the interface changes or the operation features that are made to the software in the vehicle as we produce the navigation data. Please reach out to Kia Customer Care and ask to speak to their customer complaint team to best resolve your issue. If you need any navigation assistance after an update, please do not hesitate to reach out to start a chat on our chat portal or email us and we will be more than happy to help!

Got it. Thank you! Sadly Kia customer care doesn't seem to ever lead anywhere but them telling me to take it into the dealer, who then tells me to contact them.
